One of my first days living in Calgary I decided to head downtown on a gorgeous September day and I stumbled off the bus right on to Stephen Avenue, the most popular street in the City, and ended up wandering around town and over a bridge into Prince's Island Park.
The sun was shining, the leaves were changing colour and all seemed right in the world.
This was not the ugly brown, redneck-cowboy hat wearing city I had anticipated before my departure.
It is a surprisingly beautiful city and funnily enough most of the people I meet here are transplants from other places in Canada and around the world. They are drawn here for whatever reasons...work, love, etc and from what I can tell most of them stay because they love it here so much. Now I understand why.
Here is our sweet pad. This is the front room...complete with a deer farm.
Our kitchen, with my beautiful "Welcome to Calgary" flowers.
Dining room with a sexy Gold Devil Woman.
The downstairs living room, complete with a wood-burning oven. So nice from about October-June from what I can tell! :)
Nice view in the shop!
View driving home from Cochrane.
